Black & White Geyser Project
This is a project I've been working on for the past couple of years. The thermal basins of Yellowstone are full of color from the rich blues of some of the hot springs to the colorful bacteria that live in the runoff channels. There is also a lot of texture from the delicate terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs to the knobby and sometimes strange shapes of the geysers around Old Faithful. It's the textures and shapes that I am focusing on in this gallery. I think that we can get almost overwhelmed with the colors in the thermal basins that we may not notice the textures and forms.
