This lovely hot spring sits off by itself at Black Sand Basin. There is a short boardwalk to this view of the hot spring. Please stay on designated trails and boardwalks in the geyser basins. It not only protects you, but protects these incredibly fragile features.
Beehive Geyser erupting in the last light of the day. There was just enough light that it produced a muted rainbow in the water from the geyser.
Great Fountain Geyser erupts about twice a day from a sinter and pool lined crater. The eruptions are especially stunning at sunset or just after. This was shot shortly after sunset. The colors on the horizon are because it had been very smoky that day from fires in Idaho.
