This little black bear bounded across the road a car in front of us so it could feast on these rose hips. The bear was right off the side of the road so I was able to shoot from my vehicle as we crawled slowly by (I wasn't driving). In the fall, bears are in what is called hyperphagia where they are almost constantly eating to build up their calorie stores for the winter months when food sources are scarce.
The feature on the left is Clepsydra Geyser and the feature on the right didn't exist at the beginning of May. The new feature started out as a steam vent and has expanded and enlarged itself until I photographed it like this at the beginning of June. It will be interesting to see how the new vent continues to change.
