This is Little Miss Sunshine, coach 715. This is a Bombardier, created by Joseph-Armand Bombardier of Valcourt, Quebec, Canada. Bombariers began being used in Yellowstone for winter transportation in the late 60s. They were retired from service at the end of the 2016 winter season. Full moon photography is still new to me. I simply couldn't pass up the clear skies and full moon one weekend. This was a 30 second exposure as Old Faithful started erupting.
A morning Castle eruption with a rainbow is an amazing sight to see. The eruption was a bit of a surprise as the previous eruption hadn't been seen. When I saw the water spiking over the trees, I hurried down to Castle as fast as I could and was rewarded with this gorgeous sight.
