The roots of an old tree reach into the morning fog along Rabbit Creek. On cool mornings, this thermally fed creek can create a small fog bank in the area. I like the simplicity of the sinuous tree root with the faint silhouette of the trees behind it.
Tangled Creek, about 8 miles north of Old Faithful, gets a lot of thermal influence from the features along Firehole Lake Drive. On cold mornings, the fog can be irresistible.
Firehole Falls in a 40-foot waterfall along Firehole Canyon Drive. It's a very photogenic spot especially in the cold and snow.
